Microsoft Works not really a free-for-all after all
Image by Getty Images via DaylifeMicrosoft’s foray into ad revenue based software seems to have been throttled back somewhat. Earlier this week, I wrote about Microsoft’s first notable attempt to offer up productivity software for ‘free’. Download Squad is reporting that the ad supported Works will be offered through a select number of OEM partners, and not to the general public. I guess Microsoft is still struggling to understand the new rules of the software game.
