I&#039;ve tried NovaMind in the past, and it is quite good.  It is also platform dependent, and my goal is to wean myself off of any particular platform, which makes FreeMind an ideal candidate.

I also think that many people shy away from mindmapping applications because the commercial ones tend to be expensive.  FreeMind is, well, free.  Not a bad way to dip your feet into the mindmapping waters, if you ask me.</description>
